Shipping and Delivery Options

Coverage

We deliver within Costa Rica only. Every delivery is scheduled after payment of the order has been confirmed.

Available shipping options

1. Direct delivery by our own team

A personalized delivery carried out by Super Kosher Costa Rica staff. In order to confirm the cost we need the exact delivery address, since the rate is adjusted according to the location. We will coordinate the delivery date and time window with you.

2. Shipping through a parcel courier (Encomienda)

We dispatch your order to the parcel courier company you designate. The total cost has two components: the rate charged by the courier company for the transport, plus a minimum handling charge for delivering the parcel to that company's offices.

3. Shipping through Correos de Costa Rica

We dispatch your order through the national postal service. The total cost has two components: the rate charged by Correos de Costa Rica based on the weight of the shipment, plus a minimum handling charge for delivering the parcel to a Correos de Costa Rica office.

4. Shipping through Uber or DiDi (Greater Metropolitan Area only)

Available only within the Greater Metropolitan Area. The customer requests the trip and pays the fare directly in the Uber or DiDi app. Our team prepares the order and hands it to the assigned driver at our store. We will confirm in writing the time at which the order is ready for pickup.

Information required to complete the delivery

Very important: we cannot dispatch an order without this information in full. We will request:

Full legal name
Identification number
Detailed address: province, canton, district, neighborhood and exact address with landmarks
Telephone number
Email address
Chosen parcel courier company, where option 2 applies

Waived handling charge

If your order totals US$70 or more (or the equivalent in colones according to our conversion table), we will not charge the delivery handling fee on the parcel courier and Correos de Costa Rica options, to any destination in the country. In that case you only pay the rate charged by the courier company or by Correos de Costa Rica, depending on the option chosen.

Direct delivery by our own team is free of charge, from that same US$70 threshold, only in Rohrmoser, Escazú and Santa Ana. At checkout it appears as local delivery and is enabled automatically based on the postal code of your address: 10109 (Pavas and Rohrmoser); 10201, 10202 and 10203 (Escazú, San Antonio and San Rafael); and 10901 through 10906 (Santa Ana, Salitral, Pozos, Uruca, Piedades and Brasil).

Warning: destinations outside Rohrmoser, Escazú and Santa Ana

When delivery is carried out by our own team, every destination outside Rohrmoser, Escazú and Santa Ana carries a delivery cost. For the locations listed in our rate table, that amount is applied automatically at checkout. For any other destination the cost must be quoted in advance, since it depends on distance, weight and volume and cannot be calculated automatically in the online store.

In those cases, please select the «Shipping quote» option at checkout. Our team will contact you with the applicable amount and send you a payment link separate from the order. Dispatch is scheduled once that quote has been paid.

These rates apply to deliveries carried out by our own team and cover the location stated. Every destination marked «quoted on request» is handled through the «Shipping quote» option, available in all provinces: selecting it charges you nothing at that moment, and our team sends you the amount with a separate payment link.

Limitation of liability

When you choose option 2 (parcel courier), option 3 (Correos de Costa Rica) or option 4 (Uber or DiDi), our liability is limited to handing the parcel over — in good condition and properly labeled — to the carrier you selected. We will forward you the waybill, tracking number or receipt that the carrier provides us at the moment of handover.

From that moment onward, custody of the goods passes to the company selected by the customer. In the event of loss, misplacement, delay, theft or damage occurring during transport, the claim must be filed directly with the parcel courier company, with Correos de Costa Rica or with the corresponding ride-hailing platform, using the waybill or receipt we provided. We will gladly supply any supporting documentation you need in order to file that claim.
